Hello Everyone, Here I got the best news for you guys about Udemy, Coursera, and Google Scholarships. If you are keen to learn on the online learning platform that offers a wide variety of courses on various subjects, including technology, business, personal development, and more, on Udemy, Coursera, or Grow with Google platform.

SOSLP – (Skills Online Sri Lanka Programme) 

A skill-development program called Skills Online Sri Lanka is being run in Sri Lanka by the National Library in collaboration with the Commonwealth of Learning.

They offer scholarship programs for individuals who are interested in taking courses on the online platform but may not have the financial means to do so. The scholarship program typically provides free access to Udemy, Coursera, or Grow with Google courses for eligible participants.

You can visit the SOSLP website by the following link https://www.soslp.lk/. This is the website's home page. If you scroll down you can see the types of scholarships which they offer to us. Coursera, Udemy and Grow with google courses. They also give them the name COL, I think which means Commonwealth Of Learning, and some descriptions of them. According to your needs, you can get an idea about each scholarship program by reading more details. 

In this scholarship program, you have 6 months to complete it without any limitations. That means you can do any number of courses as you need but at least you need to complete 6 courses because they need to give the advantage of this scholarship as you have selected among a number of applicants. If you are not doing so well that means you have ruined another applicant’s valuable chance, So the scholarship will be withdrawn if the learner is not able to exhibit sufficient dedication and determination to benefit from the scholarship, they will not be given consideration for future COL scholarships.

After finishing each course you will be able to obtain a certificate from the course which you have completed.

In this section, they have mentioned the currently available scholarship program. They are calling applications from the 1st of January to the 30th of June. After that period this section will also be changed to another time period. If you apply to this one you will receive a letter of selection on the 30th of June if you are eligible for your requested scholarship program. 

So now we are going to apply for this.

On this page they have published the instructions as you can see at the top, you are asked to read these instructions carefully before filling out the registration form.

The first one is eligibility, They have mentioned the eligible parties for this scholarship program. Students have especially encouraged women and persons with disability will be prioritized

Then the scholarships, You can see the three types of certification programs under the Skills for Work Initiative: As 1) COL-Grow with Google, Coursera, and Udemy Skills for Work certification program

Here we can see the registrations instructions, 

• If you have already signed up for Udemy, Coursera, or Google you need to register with another email address.
• Incomplete or incorrect applications also be rejected so you can double-check your application with the copy of your application that you receive after submitting it.
• If something went wrong you can get help from [email protected].
• And also DO NOT RE-REGISTER otherwise all your applications will be deleted automatically by the system.

Lastly, they have mentioned the Scholarship rules:

• Eligible candidates will be asked to join the program by sending an email.
• You need to join the program within 3 days otherwise the scholarship program will be withdrawn.
• You must complete at least 6 courses in this 6-month period.
• Then Learners need to enroll for a course or two within the first week.
• Then You have to complete at least one course within 4 weeks.
• Only for grow with Google Scholarship, learners have to commit at least 10 hours per week.
• If you are not able to demonstrate enough commitment and willingness to take advantage of the scholarship and will not be considered for the COL scholarship in the future.
